#Apple mac hang up pro
The only difference between those 2 machines (other than the hardware) is that the Air is connected to Apple Thunderbolt display (using Apple USB-C/Thundebolt2 adapter) while the Pro is connected to OWC Thunderbolt docking station and Samsung monitor (via DisplayPort on the docking station). The are occassional hiccups and even beachballs that never happened before 12.3 upgrade, but I've not seen a complete lock-up like on the Air. I also have M1 MacBook Pro which I've also upgraded to 12.3 and I'm not seeing the problem there (at least not yet). It just occurred when the machine was sleeping :-(. The problem is occurring relatively infrequently (about every 3 days). While in this state, already running applications not requiring start of additional processes/threads (or possibly memory allocations) seem to continue working (for example, iStats menubar widgets), however the system is not able to start any new process. I does not seem to be directly caused by networking, because the machine responds to pings, Universal Control works (which I believe uses AWDL), SSH connection to the box connects, but the remote shell is never started.
#Apple mac hang up upgrade
After upgrade to 12.3 my M1 Macbook Air exhibits similar symptoms as discussed in this thread: applications unresponsive and eventually inability to even restart the computer (requiring hard reboot via power button).
